Shots by Miko will be on site serving up custom options, creating a space to chat, mix and mingle with light snacks as well as offering an opportunity to meet the Shots by Miko team and the venue owner.

The theme for this one is Color Me Bad- we'll be showcasing a variety of colored custom options.

This event is open to the public & free of a cover charge.

The city-wide exhibition encompasses parks, urban spaces, galleries, performance halls, and outdoor stages, with a dual focus on the visual and performing arts.
Learn how artists can apply for funding of up to $50,000 for innovative project ideas, plus receive career development and advisory services valued at an additional $45,000.

Creative Capital staff will present an overview of our program and answer questions about the application process, the type of work we support, and how to apply. The session is free and open to the public—artists in all disciplines are encouraged to attend.

The Buy Black Empowerment Initiative (BBEI) is hosting our 6TH Annual Buy Black August at Leon’s Thriftway on Saturday August 25, 2018. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A new report shows black women are the fastest growing group of business owners in the country. The report, released by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City using data from the U.S. Census, found that, between 2002 and 2012, black women created almost a million jobs.
