SUNDAY

Tony Baker, Tahir Moor, and Kevin Fredericks were all comedians before the Ernest social media boom. However you are far more likely to recognize them from their videos then their stand-up. That’s all about to change. This clean comedy tour is gonna prove to you that these men are much funnier in real live. These are Real Comedians, you just know them from social media. These are comedians who use the internet. Not just funny on the internet.

Join us at Tapcade for our Hip Hop Movie Series. Over the next few months we'll be playing Hip Hop related movies you never got to experience in a theater. This month's movie is Krush Groove hosted by DJ Runner Up. This is a free event. Ages 18+. Seating is limited so come early to get a good spot.

NEXT WEEK DOE
"Where are all the black singles?"

"Was it a date or were y'all just kickin' it?"

"Can we discuss something non-heteronormative for a change?"

We've all heard these questions before. But it's not often that we gather collectively to talk about them and discuss what comes next. Join the Wire KC and the Urban League for a candid conversation on the black dating scene in KC with folks from across the metro area.

You've heard it's "all about who you know". Well, it's true! This workshop will focus on relationship webs and how they often help or hinder our ability to impact our lives in meaningful ways. Our focus will be on government policy and initiatives important to Black business owners.

During this workshop you will learn how initiating, building and leveraging relationships can help you effectively advocate for the causes and issues important to you. Also, we will talk about how to 1) identify an issue, 2) solidify your point of view and 3) amplify it to the right people.

YPOC-KC is a new initiative led by KSI and HDF focused on diversity-centered resources and networking for the developing multicultural professional. Programming offered by YPOC-KC will be free and open to the general public as we look to partner with various organizations throughout the Kansas City area. Each YPOC-KC event will dig into the various diversity-focused topics that are essential to supporting and growing a diverse professional workforce in our city. Our goal is to assist young professionals of color in Kansas City in finding the support they need to help build and lead Kansas City.
